Q’anápsu Dispensary

The Cowlitz Tribe asked GLGR to develop the brand identity and design, build, and produce a unique cannabis dispensary experience adjacent to their casino in Ridgefield, Washington. The dispensary, named Q'anápsu, draws inspiration from the tribe's heritage of woven grass objects. The exterior features 25 salvaged cargo containers, oversized wordmarks, and large window graphics to connect with consumers. The interior incorporates storytelling elements, custom signage, and lighting, including traditional Cowlitz hat-shaped lights. A retail table mimics the landscape's topography, and the counter features relief imagery. GLGR partnered with ROXBOX Containers, MFA Architecture, and E&M Constructors to realize the project.
